Week 2 in the A League saw the first match for International Divers Team who started their season by getting maximum points against X Stoneart. Two of the matches went to 4 games with Hamish Thornton of X Stoneart taking a game off Dave Norman and young Calum Baker also took a game off Diver’s Rob Colquitt. Mention must also be made of Lyndon Cheetham who made an impressive debut for the International Divers Team with a good 3-0 win over Steve Gaylor.

In the other A league match Team AON beat EasyGym 4 1 with Malcolm Levy claiming the only win for EasyGym, beating Robin Crease 3 0.

In the B league Island Exhausts managed to overcome a strong performance by Outcasts beating them 3 2. The game of the night was Douglas Jacobsson of Exhausts against Liam Davies with Douglas running out a 3 - 1 victory.

The Conister Pioneers ran B League favourites Sharks close in the pair's opening encounter of the season on Thursday evening. The Sharks edged the fixture 3-2 thanks to wins from David Freer, Wouter Schoeman and Richard Webster, the latter sneaking past the big-hitting Barry Irvine in five. The Welsh wizard Daffydd Lewis continued his fine start to the campaign for the Racketeers maintaining his 100% start with victory over Shark's summer signing Mike O'Brien. Calum Baker picked up his first win in in a Racketeers' shirt beating training-mate Mark Stratford at three to help his new side to a healthy total of 201.

The Who's 'The Kids Are Alright' should have echoed around the NSC's squash courts on Tuesday evening as the Junior Academy chalked up another C League scalp. Following on from their opening week win over the Jewel Tech Ladies, the Academy edged past Hansard Racketeers 3-2 in their latest match thanks to wins from 12-year-old prodigy Ben Leith, Oliver Wait and coach Carl Albright. Racketeers duo Andy Dalrymple and Daryl Richards battled hard to overcome two more talented teens, Leighton Ginty and Max Birchall, in five to pick up their side's first individual wins of the campaign and useful 190 points in defeat.

Buchanan and Pitts Misfits against Browne Craine Dragons saw some excellent squash with the Dragons winning 4 1. The outcome of the overall match hinged on the 3 games to 2 games wins for Helen Cave and Chloe Quilliam of the Dragons over Courtney Gilardoni and Allan Walkingshaw respectively.

Dandara Falcons achieved maximum points against Jewel Tech Ladies Squash Team winning 5 0. There was some great squash from the young ladies who battled hard. Special mention to Clare Townsend whose determination and good play won her one game against Simon Jones playing in his first match for Dandara Falcons.

The last match of week 2 was a 3-2 thriller between Racketeers Academy and Dohle Stars. The no. 2's were first on court with Nic Kieswetter beating Anthony Bentley-Roberts 3-1 with some close games. Stand out performances came from 'super sub' Rob Boyles and the 'stand in captain' Andrew Brown, both winning their matches in straight sets to gain a win for the Racketeers.
